A parrot has returned home after spending two days in Texas

 A Texas man's pet parrot is home secure after being stranded for two days in a high tree and warding off assaults from hungry hawks.



Giulio Ferrari stated his 15-yr-old Catalina macaw, named Samba, have become spooked via a gust of wind during a photograph shoot on Sunday in Lewisville and made his manner into a forty-foot tree with vertical branches.


Firefighters attempted to apply ladders to reach Samba, but he fled to better branches, Ferrari said.


Ferrari stated Samba turned into capable of fend off a couple of hawk assaults on Monday, which left the chook exhausted.


He said the parrot was located to have moved Tuesday to a tree with horizontal branches lower to the floor.


Ferrari borrowed a bag of chips from CBS news Texas reporter Caroline Vandergriff, who become on scene masking Samba's plight, and the sound of the rustling snack bag induced Samba to fly all the way down to his owner's ready fingers.


"it's like my soul has reentered my body. whilst this occurred my soul left my frame for 3 days," Ferrari told NBC DFW. "i have not been drowsing properly, i haven't been consuming. it is been tough. i'm exhausted, physically and mentally."


Ferrari said he celebrated his reunion with Samba by using taking the fowl out for his favored treat: mango gelato.


Samba, who previously escaped for a 3-day journey that made headlines in 2012, become examined with the aid of a veterinarian and is now resting from his ordeal at home.
