Bronze top hat of Abraham Lincoln statue is missing from Kentucky

 Abraham Lincoln’s pinnacle hat is missing from a bronze sculpture alongside the Ohio River in Louisville, Kentucky.



The sculptor, Ed Hamilton, posted snap shots of his artwork at Waterfront Park on facebook on Saturday and stated someone stole the hat from the sculpture.


“They had to be robust and determined to pry bronze from a base, good grief!” his put up said.


Metro Louisville Police instructed information stores that an internet document has been filed with the branch and they may be asking all and sundry with information to call an anonymous tip line.


The 12-foot (three.6-meter) statue of Lincoln seated on a rock searching out on the Ohio River turned into dedicated in 2009. The pinnacle hat had rested on a rock beside the former president, who turned into born in rural Kentucky.


Park officials are reviewing video recordings to peer if they could spot any suspicious hobby, Hamilton informed the Courier journal. He stated he hopes the hat is returned soon.
