Lion came on the streets after escaping from the circus

 A lion was filmed prowling the streets of an Italian seaside city for several hours after escaping from a circus.

movies confirmed the large cat on foot through darkish and abandoned streets of Ladispoli, near Rome, on Saturday evening.

Mayor Alessandro Grando warned citizens to live at home while police and circus body of workers sought to trap the animal.

In a facebook submit, greater than five hours after his authentic message raised the alarm, Mr Grando said the lion had been "sedated and captured".

"Now he can be taken in hand with the aid of the circus group of workers," he wrote, thanking emergency services and volunteers who helped deliver the beast, reportedly named Kimba, to heel.

"i hope that this episode can stir some consciences and that we can sooner or later placed an end to the exploitation of animals in circuses," the mayor introduced.

He further said that he had now not authorised the presence of a circus with lions inside the metropolis, however said he did not have the energy to prevent it.
